IEEE Global Communications Conference (GLOBECOM) is one of the IEEE Communications Societyâs two flagship conferences dedicated to driving innovation in nearly every aspect of communications. Each year, more than 3000 scientific researchers from all over the world attend the conference and its multiple side sessions to share the latest advancement in telecommunication technologies, systems, and infrastructures.
In the 2022 edition of GLOBECOM, world-leading researchers and innovators gathered from December 4 to December 8 in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) to discuss the topic âAccelerating the Digital Transformation through Smart Communicationsâ.
The SPIRIT team was represented by Filip De Turck, Professor at the department of Information Technology (Intec) of the Ghent University (Belgium), who gave a keynote speech on truly immersive holographic-type communication and presented the SPIRIT platform.
